Shopping and Restaurants
In addition to having a wealth of local grocery options, downtown Aberdeen has a variety of shopping and eating options, either within the downtown footprint or just outside of it. We are fortunate to have access to locally owned and sometimes historic establishments providing unique local personality, plus familiar franchises that are a comfort to travelers everywhere.
Within the downtown footprint, our Jack-in-the-Box is open 24 hours and Safeway is open 20 hours a day. Just a block or so down from the Safeway is a Denny's.
Just outside of the downtown area there is a Walmart Supercenter, a Subway (both in East Aberdeen) and a 7-Eleven (on Market Street). Like the Denny's, these establishments are normally open 24 hours, though the hours of some of them have been curtailed during the pandemic.
East Aberdeen has two McDonald's, one in its own building and the other inside of Walmart. The stand-alone McDonald's opens early and offers an all-day breakfast menu. The Burger King starts serving lunch menu items as soon as it opens and serves breakfast items until 10:30 a.m.
Although the McDonald's and Burger King are not open 24/7, they provide the opportunity to eat breakfast foods late in the day or lunch foods early the day or have both breakfast and lunch foods together. Whether passing through or living here, these are nice perks to have that aren't commonly found in small towns and lend themselves to the 24/7 service atmosphere.Olympic Gateway Plaza
Just east of the Wishkah River, there is additional shopping in easy walking distance of downtown Aberdeen. The WAVE bus is free and serves both downtown and this shopping center.
A 24/7 Downtown
One of the things that makes this small town so special is the degree to which we have a 24/7 town. This is a rarity for a small town and helps create a sense of small town charm with big city amenities.Within the downtown footprint, our Jack-in-the-Box is open 24 hours and Safeway is open 20 hours a day.
